Torque
Torque is one of the 3 facets of Induction—Pressure, Heat, & Time. Pressure is the torque application of the closure onto the land of the bottle. Heat, meaning the directional energy which is caused by the induction unit itself. Time is based on the speed of the conveyor.

Application Torque:
There is a sweet spot for torque. Rule of thumb is one half the diameter in (mm) of the closure for inch pounds of torque. For example: 38mm = 19 inch pounds. 17-26 In-lbs-on-torque would be the recommended range.
Many of PHOENIX tutorial videos are also available with Spanish subtitles.
Removal Torque:
Values are approximately 40% to 80% of the application torque values. If removal torque is used for Quality purposes, it should be tested within five minutes of the time the closure is applied.
