2026 PHOENIX Scholarship Recipients Announced
At PHOENIX, we believe investing in education is an investment in the future. Each year, our scholarship program provides students with support as they work toward their educational and career goals, while recognizing the accomplishments of our employees’ families and members of the communities we serve. Each recipient receives $2,500 per year toward a full-time undergraduate or trade school program. We are pleased to announce and celebrate this year’s scholarship recipients.
Raymond A. Kohs Scholarship
Established in honor of Raymond Kohs and his remarkable 60-plus year career at PHOENIX, the Raymond A. Kohs Scholarship recognizes a graduating high school senior whose parent is a full-time PHOENIX employee.
Sophia Chiou has been named the 2026 Raymond A. Kohs Scholarship recipient. She will attend the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she plans to study Business. Sophia is the daughter of Wen Chiou, Director of Information Technology at our Aurora, Illinois facility.
David N. Moore Scholarship
The David N. Moore Scholarship honors the contributions of David N. Moore while helping support the educational pursuits of PHOENIX employees’ children.
Bryce Boller has been selected as a 2026 recipient. He will study Software Development at Ivy Tech Community College. Bryce is the son of Kevin “Matt” Boller, Production Manager at our Bloomington, Indiana facility.
Keegan Neiswinger has also been selected as a 2026 recipient. He will attend Indiana State University to study Nursing. Keegan is the son of Mason Neiswinger, Processor and Trainer at our Bloomington, Indiana facility.
Ed Buck Scholarship
The Ed Buck Scholarship recognizes Ed’s 48 years of dedication and leadership at PHOENIX. Beginning his career as a Machine Operator, Ed went on to serve as Vice President of Manufacturing before retiring. The scholarship is awarded to the spouse or child of a PHOENIX employee who is continuing their education.
Katherine Neris is the 2026 Ed Buck Scholarship recipient. She will attend Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, where she will study Music Production and Recording Industry. Katherine is the daughter of Miguel Neris, Lining Tooling Engineer at our Aurora, Illinois facility.
Jeff Davis Community Scholarship
The Jeff Davis Community Scholarship was established in 2023 to honor Jeff’s lasting impact on the Naperville community. Throughout his career, Jeff dedicated countless hours to civic organizations, including the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, Indian Prairie School District 204, and the Naperville Public Library Board. The scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors who reside in Naperville.
Noah Eun has been selected as the 2026 Jeff Davis Community Scholarship recipient. A student at Naperville North High School, Noah will attend the University of Illinois at Chicago to study Neuroscience.
We congratulate Sophia, Bryce, Keegan, Katherine, and Noah on this well-deserved achievement. PHOENIX is proud to help support their educational journeys and looks forward to seeing all they accomplish in the years ahead. We also thank every student who applied and commend them for the hard work, ambition, and dedication they demonstrated throughout the application process.
